I first started practicing Pilates in 2003 after suffering a back injury. It was this experience that led me to discover Pilates and the enormous benefits it can bring. It may sound like a cliche but I can honestly say Pilates quite literally changed my life.
Over the years I have tried hundreds of different forms of exercise and have been on numerous diets - none of which I have managed to stick to! Pilates is the only thing I have stayed with through thick and thin. So much so that I left my high-flying career as an Executive Producer in TV and trained with Body Control Pilates.
When I was injured I never thought in a million years that I would be where I am today. My aim now is to help others discover the never ending benefits of Pilates.
I am constantly finding muscles that I never knew existed and I am able to do things I never thought possible. My body changed shape, my stomach became flatter and my muscles toned up. I became stronger, more confident and stood tall for the first time in years.
You never stop learning Pilates - there is always something you can do to challenge yourself. Like I say, it is the best workout. The question is......are you ready?
